How does this relate to diet and fitness? Are the cowboys going to lose weight if they lose their hats?
That's, "Y'all look a fool." If you want them to understand. I grew up on a ranch working cows, buckin hay... all that. Never wore a cowboy hat in my life. Wore hiking boots instead of cowboy boots. Now I live in Oklahoma. Most of the dudes wearing cowboy hats and driving big one ton trucks around here are posers who never sat a horse in their lives.
That's a stereotype: there are lots of country/western singers who don't wear cowboy hats, dress like the Old West, etc. Those who regularly do so usually do because of tradition or because it has some significant meaning to them (and they usually only get totally into dressing like that when they're performing), and there are other times where one who doesn't usually dress like that will walk out on stage totally decked out in that stuff, but usually when that's the case it's because they're joking.

I can just tell by your attitude that you are going to go far (NOT!) in life...you probably should be your own boss and have your own business so you can say and do what you want....within the rules & regs of this country of course! Do you have a problem with appearing to look like a fool yourself is this why you ask the question about cowboy hats? Cowboy hats used to serve a function, in fact, still do in some parts of this free country. That is, until the fashion world got a hold of them so now they are mostly a fashion statement. Just like the bandanna’s that the rappers wear...what possible function does a scarf tied around one's bald head serve? You might want to read the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Then maybe a little more paying attention to English and Grammar while you are in school if you are not the DROP OUT looser kind! And maybe some schooling on manners would also benefit you... And then some anger management might also benefit you. No one in this world is more responsible for your own happiness than yourself. It is no one else's job to pump sunshine up your behind and make you a happy camper. And last but not least......It is better to be thought of as a fool than to speak up and prove it.
