How do you get straw(cowboy hats) to stay curled on the sides?
I want to get the cowboy effect on my wide brimmed hats. I try to train the sides to curl but they do not stay curled. What do I do?

- roll em and steam em
- rubber bands
- lay it on one side and have a heavy book on the other or put a alastic band around it.
- Take them to a place that makes hats, they have a form and they steam the shape into them. Your local cleaners will know where to locate one or can possibly do it for you.
- If you have a steamer that is the best way. If you go to western shops alot of times they will shape them for you at little or no cost. You could also try wetting and holding it in place with something until it dries.
- curl em and then spray hairspray
- Many straw cowboy hats have a metal wire band in the brim which allows you to curl up the sides. Check link out below.
- Form the brim evenly by hand, use a larger than normal rubber band to maintain the desired shape, then use your plant mister on it lightly, both sides.
- why littlew buddy you kin steam rolltrhem and do sweat hog work in them or you kin roll'em into the correct shape pin or tie them down with your shoe laces, or any ol' twine, if you wear cowboy boots. or failing that get a belt aroundthenm if you cant find a belt grab a mwooden chair,,..yattayatta yaattaleve them in the culed position every night andeach day they
